Flying: Garuda Indonesia B737-800 Economy Class Bali to Singapore 2015

Prior to departure from the Laguna Nusa Dua, I called to book a taxi with Blue Bird Taxi, which is one of the few taxis in Bali that go by the meter.

Check-in was quick, and after paying the IDR200,000 airport fees and clearing immigration, we were on the airside.

Garuda 842

Bali (DPS) – Singapore (SIN)
Sunday, Jan 18 2015
Depart: 3:45PM
Arrive: 6:25PM
Flight time: 2hr40min
Aircraft: Boeing 738-800
Seat: 22H

There was a last minute gate change from gate 10 to gate 1, so that is a bit of inconvenience since the two gates are at the opposite ends of the terminal and we had to walk a fair distance back.

This time round, the plane appears older and slightly worn, though still fairly well-maintained. This flight was about 60% to 70% filled, though most of the seats at the rear were still unoccupied.

Orange juice was served prior to departure. We pushed off at 3:50PM, slightly behind schedule, and was airborne by 3:58PM.

An early dinner was served about one and a half hours into the flight. The chicken and lotus roots was delicious, though I was a little disappointed that the muffin had been replaced by a plain roll.

After dinner I continued watching "The Book Thief", dozing off half way and waking up 45 minutes before landing.

We landed early at 6.11PM, had a short taxi to the gate, where we took the Skytrain to the arrival area, cleared immigration, collected our bags, and hit the MRT home.
