It was an early morning departure, which could be a blessing in disguise since it allowed us to bypass the potentially hazardous jams so common in newly developed cities.
Traffic was light along the way and in less than an hour the newly constructed terminal building was in sight.
Our luggage was screened at the entrance of the airport, and there was only a fairly short queue at the check-in counters.
